Welcome to my blog!
My name is Jeffrey Neal and I am an Orange County Photographer!

This is where you can see all that I am doing in the world of photography!  On my blog you will find the latest images from all the shoots that I have, information for my clients and any other crazy ideas or projects that I have.
I have been up in San Francisco since wednesday shooting an amazing project for the California Small Brewers Association and while we were driving to Sierra Nevada I stumbled upon this amazing scene and had to shoot it.  There is something so inspiring about the color and symmetry of God's creation.  As I look at images like this it helps me remember how small I am in this world and appreciate how much joy there is for us to experience.

It is scenes like this that make me want to explore all that life has to offer and dive in to the endless possibilities that are out there.  There is so much beauty in this world that is not pondered on as long as it deserves.

I will be posting images soon from my shoot out here but I thought I would just show you these for now.  Enjoy, and pursue the beauty of life.

These last two weeks have been a whirl wind!!!!  Last monday we had the first ever JNP Workshop and it was amazing!  This has been something that has been in the works for a while and I was so excited to be able finally do it.  I asked the amazing Eliesa from photogeninc to come and guest speak on finding inspiration and like always she was amazing as well as Jonathan Metcalf to speak on Fusion.  The girls from Utterly Engaged and Kristen from Treasured Petal put together an amazing table that is very masculine and will be shown in the March edition of the Utterly Engaged E-Zine.

The workshop was so much fun and such an incredible day.  We had a great group of people who all added a ton to the discussions and really brought a unique element to the workshop.  I have always found that workshops are a great place to learn and connect and this is what happened.  Eliesa was amazing and I know really inspired all who came and myself to pursue what they want in there business.

Here is a sneak peek of some of the details so look for the rest on the Utterly Engaged
E-zine in march.

As for moving, my lovely wife and I purchased our first home and got the keys the day after my workshop.  It feels like I have been moving, painting and planning for the last week, and it feels so good.  I have always dreamed about owning property in the OC and now it is a reality.  I am looking forward to see how God uses our place to grow our business and minister to our church and neighbors.  At the bottom will be a few of our house!

I was so stoked last week when I got the new Ceremony Magazine and saw two of my weddings in there.  As a wedding photographer it has always been a goal of mine to get my images published.  It is great to see your work in print and also very fun for my brides to see their wedding, and all the time and thought that was put into it, published for other brides to use for inspiration.  Laura and Scott's amazing wedding at Rancho Las Lomas and Karen and Andy's beautiful wedding at Balboa Bay Club both made it.  Check it out and get your own copy of ceremony!

Here it is!

One of my resolutions in 2010 was to do everything I can to glorify God and help others with my business.  The first opportunity of the year had come up.  As most of you, I have been deeply moved by the suffering that has been seen in Haiti.  I think of all the comforts we have and luxuries we enjoy and I can not help but think of all those in Haiti right now that are suffering and are in need.

I have come up with a way that I can give back in two ways.  I am offering to do a shoot for any photographers that would like new shots for their web site or just to have a shoot with me and to pick my brain for the hour that we are shooting.  The shoot will have to be scheduled in February because the rest of the month is super busy.  The cost for the shoot will $100 and and 100% proceeds will go to world vision to provide food, water, blankets, and tents to children and their families.

This will have to be booked in January so please email me at jeff@jnpstudios.com to set this up.  If nothing else your giving a $100 to people in need.

I guess it is officially engagement season.  I love this time of year, getting to meet new couples and shooting lots of engagement sessions.  Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Tara and Dan shooting their engagement photos.  Dan works at Saddleback church and wanted to capture some of the amazing textures and colors of the buildings so that was where we started.  I had no idea how cool the refinery was until we got there.

After shooting some there we headed out to shoot a little different scenery.  Tara and Dan both love the outdoors so that is where we went for a little rustic nature looking shoot.  I swear every time I get to work with new couples I am reminded about how much I love my Job and humbled that people let me be a part of such an amazing time in their lives.  I will shooting their wedding in March in Newport and can not wait.  Here are just a few of my favorites from the day.  Thank you Tara and Dan for such an awesome afternoon.
