Welcome to my blog!
My name is Jeffrey Neal and I am an Orange County Photographer!

This is where you can see all that I am doing in the world of photography!  On my blog you will find the latest images from all the shoots that I have, information for my clients and any other crazy ideas or projects that I have.
I have been listening to music more when I shoot as a way to get my mind in a place that is not over thinking things.  I find that I do my best work when my mind is free to play and not thinking about the things that are going on out side of whatever shoot I am doing.  Music helps me to really zone in and create the chemistry that I need with my subject and to my surprise really gets us both on the same page.

I went out yesterday to do a promo shoot for my good friend and hair stylist for her new website.  Robin pretty much styles any shoot that I do where I need hair done.  Here are a few from the day!

More from The American Craft Brewer project.  On tuesday I headed down to San Diego with Redtail Media to do some more killer portraits of some of San Diego's finest brewers.  This project just keeps me so inspired and forcing me to push myself every shot.  The stories of each one of these brewers and their passion to create an experience with beer is equally as inspiring as shooting them.  I know that I posted some videos on twitter so here are some of the shots that I got from the day.

No beer was hurt during the making of these shoots.  All beer used had gone bad or was not up to standards.  Just FYI.

This past weekend I had the joy of shooting Tara and Dan's amazing wedding at South Shores Church in Dana Point, followed by an awesome reception at the Turnip Rose in Newport Beach, Ca.  As I have gotten to know Dan and Tara I have grown with excitement to shoot their wedding.  The best thing about being a wedding photographer is being around people who love each other, and Tara and Dan are madly in love.

In simple words, they are just a perfect match.  Dan is very giving and and a kid at heart, while Tara is extremely supportive and always keeping Dan in line.  I had such a blast with these two while shooting their wedding that it made me feel like I was not even working.

Have an awesome time on your honeymoon!

Jeff, your shots are AMAZING. We are so in love with them. When you lined us up for a shot at the place I wasn't sure if it was going to look good but I trusted you and my trust in you didn't fail me. There is nobody on the face of the planet besides you that we would have wanted to shoot our wedding, not even me (being the perfectionist I am). You nailed it with this one bro and we couldn't have asked for anything more. You are great at what you do and keep doing it. We love you man and look forward to hanging out with you and the wife. Also when I get back you better let me help you cut the paint in the corners of your walls at your house. Thanks dude

Last Saturday was the kick off of an awesome wedding season with Molly and James at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton Ca.  I was amped when Molly and James booked me because I really wanted to shoot at the Muckenthaler for a long time and they are just two people who are so in love that they make it easy to shoot them.  The forecast for the day was rain, which made me happy, even though I love bright light I love the rain and it made for an awesome day with tons of great even light, perfect for wedding photography.

It has been a couple months since I had shot a wedding and I forgot how much I love wedding ceremonies.  It always reminds me of how blessed I am to have such a wonderful wife and amazing life with her.  Molly and James wrote their own vows and they each heard them for the first time during the ceremony which caused a flood of tears to pour and left everyone with a great smile.

Molly looked stunning in her dress and red shoes and was so light hearted and excited to get to be wed with her best friend.  Equally James could not wait to have Molly be his bride.  Thank you both for such an amazing day and reminding me of how amazing marriage is with your best friend.  Have a great time in Hawaii and I can not wait for you to see the rest!

I can not say enough about how excited I am to get back film.  I shot a ton of film when I was in Switzerland over Christmas and have been meaning to post this for a long time but just got busy.

I was so happy to see came of all these images from Switzerland.  There is just something so magic about film and that way it looks.  All of these were shot on my Holga with Fuji 800.  I am pretty sure a few of these are going to be in my house.
